About La Marina Inn La Marina Inn was originally opened as the La Playita Hotel on Cinco De Mayo of 1995. Its location in the 200 year old fishing village of La Playita made it unique among the hotels along the East Cape of Baja because of its proximity to San Jose del Cabo, a five minute drive from La Playita. In the early 80's San Jose del Cabo (SJD) was constructed as an international airport just 7 miles north of San Jose. This airport is the port of entry serving San Jose, Cabo San Lucas and all the developments along the East Cape. By 2004 Puerto Los Cabos , the largest marina in Mexico with 2 x 18 hole golf courses and over 400 high end home sites was started. The marina was opened in mid 2007 and completed in 2008. That year La Playita Hotel changed its name to La Marina Inn, primarily because it is the only hotel at present in the development of Puerto Los Cabos. La Marina Inn remains the closest hotel to the world famous Gordo Banks fishing ground and La Playita fishing fleet is at our doorstep. |
